Cynthia has been cutting, coloring and giving locks a new look in Sarasota for over 20 years! A graduate of Sarasota High, Cynthia knew her passion and pursued it at an early age. From Sarasota to Dallas to New York City and Miami, Cynthia has learned from the best, taking her art from fun and fresh to sleek and stylish. Throughout her career, Cynthia has had the opportunity to give back by teaching hair coloring and techniques, as well as teaching salon owners how to connect with their customers and how to build a successful clientele.  Always loving the historic Dowd building, Cynthia made her dream a reality in 2002 and set up her own shop in the building itself, offering her clients convenience and style in a warm and inviting location.

Thus began Salon First at 1269 1st Street !
